Pokemon Generation V is Now PRESET!!!

In the tradition of Pokemon games and animation, comes the new series of Pokemon adventure! After conquering the four corners of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh the next region's name is Isshu (イッシュ) and is located very far away from the latter four regions. Hiun City is Isshu's central city. "Hiun" means "bad luck" or "misfortune." It can also mean "clouds being blown by the wind." Generation V Pokemon were also revealed after the preview promotion of the 13th pokemon movie.

On February 7, 2010 Pokémon Sunday revealed a silhouette from Junichi Masuda.On March 2010 issue of CoroCoro magazine, the silhouette was revealed to be named Zoroark alongside its pre-evolution, Zorua being part of the 13th Pokemon Annual Movie Tribute. The movie was titled Ruler of Illusion: Zoroark! It was believe that the movie plot was part of the Isshu Region named Crown City!

Zoroark's name comes from zorro, means "fox"in Spanish and "dark". Zorua and Zoroark's ability is called Illusion (イリュージョン). The attack allows them to take on the appearance of other Pokemon. The June edition of CoroCoro revealed two new attacks that Zoroark can learn: Trickery (イカサマ), which outputs damage depending on the opposing Pokemon's stats, and Claw Sharpen (つめとぎ), which raises your Attack and Accuracy. Zorua and Zoroark were the first Generation V Pokémon to be revealed to the public.

On the May 9, 2010 episode of Pokémon Sunday, additional Generation V pokemon were introduced. The June edition of CoroCoro further revealed the photos and they were named: Tsutaaja (ツタージャ), Pokabu (ポカブ) and Mijumaru(ミジュマル) taaged as the Black and White starters!


Tsutaaja (ツタージャ) is considered to be the 494th pokemon in the National Pokedex. It is the Grass Snake Pokemon, its ability is Overgrow, stands 0.6 m (2 ft) tall and weighs 8.1 kg (17.9 lbs). "Tsuta" means "ivy" and "ja" is one way of saying the word "snake."



Pokabu (ポカブ) is considered to be the 497th pokemon in the National Pokedex is the Fire Pig Pokemon, its ability is Blaze, stands 0.6 m (2 ft) tall and weighs 9.9 kg (21.9 lbs). The name derives from "pokapoka," which means "warm" in Japanese, and "bu," the sound a pig makes in Japanese culture simply "oink" traditionally.



Mijumaru (ミジュマル) is considered to be the 500th pokemon in the National Pokedex is the Sea Otter Pokemon, its ability is Torrent, stands 0.5 m (1.6 ft) tall and weighs 5.9 kg (13 lbs). "Mijuku" means "immature" and "maru" means "round" or "ball."


A leaked on May 12, 2010 in CoroCoro showed version mascots of the Black and White games. On May 28, 2010 both the official English and Japanese Pokémon websites revealed simultaneously Pokemon Black and White legendary Pokemon named Reshiram and Zekrom!

Reshiram is said to be a Dragon-Light/Dragon- Fire type Pokemon it's name comes from "shiro," which means "white" in Japanese. Zekrom to be Dragon-Dark/Dragon-Electric type Pokemon it's name comes from "kuro," which means "black."
All in all, there were seven Generation V Pokemon revealed from February til May before the airing of the 13th movie this July and the up-coming end of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl anime series.
